Oregon Water Law Practice

Peter possesses extensive experience in matters involving all aspects of Oregon water law. The firm’s water law practice includes, but is not limited to:

• Storm water drainage management issues
• Wetlands regulation / dredge and fill permitting and exemptions
• Participation in incentive-based federal water quality programs
• Creation of wetlands mitigation banks and purchase and sale of mitigation credits

Land Use and Real Property Law Practice

The firm’s land use and real property practice typically concerns:

• Advising and assisting developers and individuals in all aspects of land use approval process
• Preparation of real property purchase and sale contracts
• Completion of due diligence as a condition of closing, and purchase and sale of real property including:
  • Site analysis coordination concerning environmental risk assessment
  • Preparation of escrow instructions for real property purchase and sale contracts
  • Advising lenders on matters of risk assessment and development of comprehensive security agreements relating to transactions reliant on the maintenance and development of water resources
  • Preparation of easement and right-of-way agreements for telecom, water supply, public utility, and other access reliant uses
